I made a mistake when logging a find. I messed up the year - instead of typing 2006, I typed 2020. How do I remove the find so I can go back and put in the correct date?

Ackkk. I did it again, this time I posted a find on a box I didn't find (the title was very similar). I *really* want to remove the find from that box. I hope it's possible.

On the "Change Status" page, you can select a status of "(None)" and then enter the same date that you entered earlier. From what I can see, this does not completely remove the entry -- you'll still see your trailname and the date listed on the status page -- but it will remove the green arrow indicating that you found the box, and will no longer count it as one of your Found boxes.

Thanks, it worked as you explained. The entry is still there but it's off my found list.
The other thing I noticed in the drop menu was a "reminder" option. What does "reminder" mean?

Reminder places a blue star to the left of the box name on the listing. That way, if there's one you want to find in the future (it looks interesting or one you want to tackle at some point) you can look quickly and see the ones you wanted to do. When you find them and change the status to found, the blue star goes away. I've used it as a way to earmark boxes that I want to do say in a particular area on a road trip.

Earmarking - that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

If you've logged the find in AQ, you can remove the find. Go to the clues
page, and click on "Show Finds". You'll see an option to "remove find" after
your listed find. Click on that, and then list the find with the correct
date.

I logged the find in LBNA (in order to get it off of my regional list of letterboxes - the list is growing in leaps and bounds and it's getting unwieldy - logging the finds leaves only those boxes that I haven't found on the list). I thought LBNA might have a similar feature to AQs 'remove the find' option but apparently there isn't. The closest thing is the 'none' choice on 'Change Found Status'.

You can change the date of your find without removing the find. Look at the title in a list
of boxes that you have found. On the right, click on the green flag. You'll see that the date
blank is blank. Just put the correct date in that blank, and your find will update to the
correct one.
To completely remove a find, I'd contact the webmasters. That can probably be done from
their end. Just give them all of the details.
